Lectio Magistralis

On April 5, 2024, On the occasion of the 5th Partnership meeting of the CLEO project, Professor Markus Meckl, Project Coordinator from the University of Akureyri in Iceland, was invited by Professor Giulia Lami of the University of Milan 'la Statale' to deliver a Lectio Magistralis on "Constructing Post-Heroic Memory: The Shifting Narratives of Our Past."


The event delved into the theme of cultural memory in Europe, exploring the evolving perceptions of national heroes and the emergence of new global forms of memory in the 21st century.


The hybrid event saw the participation of 21 attendees in person and 9 online. Among them were two Italian students who had previously taken part in the CLEO Summer University in Belgrade, along with project partners, local university students, and scholars.
